anticipation which pushed on the emigrants from Ireland and the exploitation of
children by those profiting from the transatlantic trade combine to create a
gripping drama which is splendidly balanced with beautiful ballads and sparky
humour. Every character is quickly identified and provides scope for young actors to work together in a tight production of one of the National Youth Music Theatre's acclaimed successes. |
