| Synopsis: | A faithful adaptation
of the famous children's book by E. Nesbit with songs which enhance the charm
and poignancy of this ever-popular story. When their father is escorted from their comfortable London home, Roberta (Bobby), Phyllis and Peter have to move with their mother to a remote cottage in Yorkshire, close to the railway line. Through their various adventures they become friendly with Mr. Perks, the station porter, and eventually with the elderly gentleman who waves to them from his train each morning. Their bravery in averting a railway accident leads indirectly to being reunited with their seriously wronged father. |
