GEORGINA AND THE DRAGON

A Pantomime

 Suggested Age Range:  8 to 13 or older.
 Approx. Running Time:  90 minutes [ + interval]
 Music:  None prescribed.
 Set: A castle, a forest, a cave and various "on the road" scenes - but all in traditional pantomime style.
 Synopsis:  The play is set somewhere else, a land ravaged by a fearsome dragon called Keith. The king sends a hero to kill the beast but progress is slow and so Georgina, the king's daughter, heads off as well. The king's Tax Collector is also in pursuit but his aim is to protect the dragon so that it will continue to steal and destroy - thus forcing the king to collect more tax, giving the collector job security.
The Good Group are captured by robbers who eventually decide to help. Georgina meets a witch and obtains a lethal dragon potion which has strange effects on humans . . . . and so everyone converges on Dragon Mountain for the thrilling and unexpected climax!
