The Chumleigh Towers Drama Group has decided to perform three short plays: A new Girl at Chumleigh Towers, Return to Chumleigh Towers and Last Term at Chumleigh Towers. They have rejected the thrilling scripts submitted by Dimsie of the Fourth. Dimsie, however, knows that if the audience once sees Tamsin the Jungle Girl, Sure Shot Sadie or Maggie o' t' Mill, her success is assured. |

Polly Brown, a humble Scholarship Girl, at first finds life hard at the famous Chumleigh Towers boarding school. However, Polly has learnt to ride on the rag-and-bone man's horse and decides to compete against Lois Stanhope-Lacey, the School snob, in the Colonel's Cup! |
