| Synopsis: | A lively, entertaining and somewhat bawdy version of two tales from Chaucer (The Wife of Bath and The Pardoner) combined with a snippet of Everyman and a dash of Piers Plowman. All are combined into a single drama with strong character parts, opportunities for mime and for mask work; and of course there is a clever ending! After all, the Pardoner is basically a dodgy insurance salesman and the Wife of Bath a sex therapist, an agony aunt and a Believer in Life! |
